AC Powered vs Battery Powered — Which Is Right for You?

Choosing between AC mains-powered and battery-powered motorised blinds depends on your situation.

AC-powered motors are ideal for new builds or renovations where power wiring can be pre-installed — they offer the most reliable, long-term performance and seamless integration with third-party home automation systems like C-Bus, Z-Wave, Control4, and Crestron. Battery-powered motors, on the other hand, are perfect for existing homes where running new cables isn't practical.
