Unlike traditional curtains that rely on pleats or gathers, wave curtains utilise a special flat tape sewn into the heading. This tape creates a soft, sinuous 'S'-shaped wave effect from one end of the track to the other. The fabric hangs neatly directly below the track, allowing it to drape beautifully and add a touch of sophistication to any room.
How Our Motorised Ripplefold System Works
Our motorised curtain tracks feature specialised carriers (runners) connected by an internal glider cord held at a fixed distance. This smart design maintains the perfect fullness of your S-Fold curtains and prevents them from pulling flat when closed.
- Pre-assembled 80mm Wave Spacing: Our tracks come standard with pre-assembled glider cords featuring an 80mm spacing. This creates a relaxed, elegant wave with broader, more generously spaced folds—an excellent choice for a sophisticated, luxurious look, particularly for wide windows and larger living spaces.
- Customizable Curtain Hook Spacing: You can easily adjust the space between the two curtain hooks, defined by the number of empty pockets on the heading tape (known as the Pocket Factor). The pocket factor directly affects the final depth and stack sizes of your curtain.

Important Ordering Tip: Curtain Stacking Space
Because S-Fold tracks use 12.5 runners per meter (compared to just 8 runners per meter on traditional pinch-pleat tracks), S-Fold curtains require more space to gather (stack) on the sides when fully open. We highly recommend ordering your track slightly longer than your window width. This ensures that when the curtains are fully drawn, they stack neatly outside the glass area and do not block your window view.
